Melaine Walker is a Jamaican 400m hurdler and former Olympic champion. She set the Olympic record of 52.64 seconds at the 2008 Beijing Games and followed it with the second fastest time in history — 52.42s — at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. A past student of St. Jago High School, she competed for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas.
