OUR STORY

Rainford Hunter is the founder and CEO of World Class Athlete Management Group, LLC. He's an outside-of-the-box thought-thinker who is currently leading the charge in helping both experienced and aspiring athletes achieve their goal of competing on the international track and field circuit.

A former international athlete himself who competed at the Division 1 collegiate level, and a former IAAF and USATF certified track and field agent, Rainford has experienced the severe hardship many international athletes have had to endure, especially those who competed at the collegiate level and who had high hopes of continuing to pursue their goals and dreams, but never had the privilege of being able to work with an agent. While not shying away from working with established and well-accomplished athletes, Rainford's intent is to also enable aspiring athletes to pursue their dreams by competing on the national and international circuit.

Consider this – our research have shown that to adequately prepare to compete at the highest level, track and field athletes must invest significant amount of time and money into their preparation. In a 2012 study done by U.S. News and World Report, the study finds that it costs approximately $100,000 per year for an elite-athlete to become an Olympian. Those who participated in the study also expressed that for every elite-athlete who earns $250,000 in income, they have to pay out approximately 50% of that for expenses associated with; coach’s fees, massage therapist, nutritionist, chiropractor, gym fees, national and international travel cost, and agents fees to name a few, and these are the lucky ones who are able to earn that kind of income. The very top athletes are also able to secure sponsorships from shoe companies or serve as brand ambassadors for various organizations, but the percentage of athletes who falls into this category is very small. One of the goals of WCAMG, is to help athletes defray some of these costs and thereby remain in the sport over the long term.

He possess a combination of skills and experience that makes him stand out from other agents, and engaging his service will make your track and field experience a lot easier.
In his last few assignments in other industry sectors including serving as vice president and manager of business development at two law firms, he had the opportunity to further expand his management and leadership experience in the development and implementation of new strategic and business initiatives.
He has a strong understanding of track and field issues, and have been intimately involved with mentoring athletes to make the transition into becoming professional athletes.
His M.S. degree in engineering supports his strong analytical skills and his interpersonal, managerial, leadership, organizational, entrepreneurial, and communication skills are considered exceptionally strong.
