RISING TRACK AND FIELD STARS AND 

LOCAL TRACK AND FIELD HEROES

Rising Stars - Performs consistently well in high-level competition, these individuals are relatively well known among peers in their region.  They attract fans who are willing to pay to watch them compete.

 

Local Heroes - When athletes get active in their local communities, their popularity expand, especially if they use their off-the-field outreach as an opportunity to bring their fans closer to them.  They may conduct local interviews and motivate younger athletes, write blog posts or conduct webinars.  They will attract local and regional meet organizers.

Every industry has a small cadre of these.  In the track and field industry, they are elite-athletes who are usually sponsored by shoe companies, and act as brand ambassadors for major companies and organizations.  They do keynote speaking at major events across the country and are quoted in top media publications.  They are also in high-demand by meet organizers and directors and command high appearance fees.  These high-profile stars are key athletes at top competitions.

  • Consistently favors to make Olympic and World Championship finals
